TOWSON, MD - The Johns Hopkins men's track and field team competed at the Goucher College Classic in Towson, MD on Saturday afternoon. Derek Cheng won the 3,000-meter run to lead the Blue Jays.

Cheng captured his event with a time of 9:21.25.Kenny Seidl had a strong day for the Blue Jays with a fifth place finish in both the 100 and 200-meter dash. In the 100-meter dash he posted a time of 11.69 and in the 200-meter he had a time of 23.67.

Chris De Laigelisa posted strong times for the Blue Jays in both the 200 and 400-meters on Saturday. De Laigelisa took second in the 400-meters with a time of 52.78 and sixth in the 200-meters with a time of 24.09.

Eric Miller took 10th in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:07.97. Ryan Tang finished sixth in the 110-meter hurdles after posting a time of 17.60. Theodore Heron finished fourth in the pole vault with a leap of 3.20m.

Hopkins returns to action on April 5 at the Muhlenberg Invitational.
