COLLEGE PARK, MD - The Johns Hopkins men's track and field team competed at the University of Maryland Terrapin Invitational on Saturday afternoon. The Blue Jays were led by Steve Tobochnik who placed fourth in the 5,000-meter run.

Tobochnik ran a 15:17.45 to place fourth in his event. Tristan Thomas finished seventh in the 100-meter dash after a fourth place finish in the preliminary. Thomas ran an 11.24 in the finals after posting a 10.99 in the preliminary.

Adam Waddell took second in the pole vault with a leap of 4.57m while Peter Li was 10th in the shot put with a final throw of 13.93m. Li also finished seventh in the discus with a throw of 41.41m.

Hopkins placed fourth in the 4x100 relay as the team of Chris Cottrell, Thomas, James Walker and Pierre Hage ran a 43.87. Hopkins had two finishers in the top ten of the 3,000-meter steeplechase as Michael Yuan took fifth with a time of 10:13.11. Andrew Barnett was ninth in the event with a time of 11:15.77.
 

 

Hopkins returns to action on Saturday, April 5 at the Muhlenberg Invitational.
