BALTIMORE, MD - Johns Hopkins women's lacrosse coach Janine Tucker has signed 11 student-athletes to play at Johns Hopkins beginning in 2009. Six All-Americans, including a US Women's Under-19 Team member, highlight the Class of 2012.

Joining the Blue Jays for the 2009 campaign are Rachel Ballatori (Rochester, NY/Brighton), Monica D'Ambrogi (Severna Park, MD/Severn), Jennifer Fox (Annapolis, MD/St. Mary's), Alyson Friedensohn (Milton, MA/Milton Academy), Alyssa Kildare (Massapequa Park, NY/Farmingdale), Cami Kramer (Vero Beach, FL/Vero Beach), Colleen McCaffrey (Mount Sinai, NY/Mount Sinai), Devin Meade (Manchester, MD/North Carroll), Candace Rossi (Farmingdale, NY/Farmingdale), Megan Schrum (Pasadena, MD/St. Mary's) and Rachel Serio (Mt. Airy, MD/McDonogh).

"We are extremely pleased with the newest members of our Blue Jay family. They are an exceptionally talented group who will make an immediate impact on our program. These young ladies are not only strong student-athletes, they are fun, energetic, outstanding people. We are thrilled to have them represent Johns Hopkins University," said Tucker.

Rachel Ballatori Attack/Midfield Rochester, NY/Brighton

High School: Scored 115 goals and 30 assists in three seasons... 2007 First Team All-American and all-county... Named to Inside Lacrosse Magazine's top-50 Seniors in 2007... Earned NYSPHSAA Scholar/Athlete Award in 2005, 2006 and 2007... 2007 New York State Class B Semifinalists, #17 national ranking... 2006 NYS Class B Finalists, #13 national ranking... 2005 NYS Class B Champions with a 20-1 record and #8 national ranking... Won a gold medal (2005) and a silver medal (2006) with Western New York team at the Empire State Games... Member of Lady Roc and Western NY Regional U-19 Lacrosse teams... National Society of High School Scholars... National Honor Roll... Also played soccer at Brighton.

Monica D'Ambrogi Midfield Severna Park, MD/Severn

High School: 2006 & 2007 Under Armour Underclassmen... 2007 IAAM Runners-Up with a 12-7 record... Three-year starter... Scored 20 goals and 16 assists as a junior... Plays club lacrosse for Chesapeake Club Lacrosse... Also plays field hockey and swims at Severn... Earned all-county honors in both field hockey and swimming.

Jennifer Fox Midfield Annapolis, MD/St. Mary's

High School: Baltimore Sun and Capital Gazette Second Team All-Anne Arundel County... Scored over 35 goals as a junior... Three-year starter... St. Mary's advanced to IAAM semifinals in 2006 and 2007... 2005 IAAM Champions... Co-president of St. Mary's Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Alyson Friedensohn Attack Milton, MA/Milton Academy

High School: Led team in scoring the last two seasons... 162 goals and 56 assists to date at Milton Academy... Led league in points in 2007... 2006 Honorable Mention All-ISL... 2007 All-ISL Award... Member of Mass Elite Club team from 2003-07... 2006 All-Galaxy selection... Also played squash at Milton... Father played lacrosse at Dartmouth and sister played at Columbia.

Alyssa Kildare Defense Massapequa Park, NY/Farmingdale

High School: 2006 & 2007 Long Island Champions... 2006 New York State Class A Semifinalist... 2007 NYS Class A Finalist... Named to NYS All-Tournament team in 2007... 2006 & 2007 Nassau County Class A Champions... 2005 Nassau County Class A Runners-up... Three-time All-Nassau County selection... 2006 & 2007 All-American... Scored 31 goals and tallied 45 assists to date... Also played soccer, basketball and ran track for Farmingdale... Member of Long Island Elite Yellow Jackets... 2006 & 2007 All-Galaxy selection... 2006 & 2007 Empire State Gold Medalist... 2007 First Team Newsday All-Long Island.

Cami Kramer Midfield Vero Beach, FL/Vero Beach

High School: 2006 & 2007 Florida State Champions... 2006 & 2007 Scholar-Athlete... 2007 First Team All-Galaxy and All-American... Plays club lacrosse for X-Team and Stick Benders... Set the Vero Beach High School single season scoring record with 77 goals... Also tallied 36 assists in 2007.

Colleen McCaffrey Midfield Mount Sinai, NY/Mount Sinai

High School: Four-year starter (since eighth grade) at Mount Sinai, scoring 275 goals and 138 assists in four seasons... Four-time all-league and all-county... 2006 & 2007 Suffolk County Class C Finalists... Two-time All-American... Plays club lacrosse for Long Island Yellow Jackets... Won both gold and silver at Empire State Games... Won gold with the 2007 US Women's Under-19 Team at World Championships... Also plays volleyball and basketball at Mount Sinai.

Devin Meade Midfield Manchester, MD/North Carroll

High School: Three-sport varsity athlete at North Carroll, competing in soccer, track and lacrosse... 2007 US Lacrosse Scholar Athlete... led team with 75 draws as a junior, also scored 22 goals and 22 assists... Baltimore Sun and Carroll County Times Second Team All-Carroll County... Plays club lacrosse for M&D Lacrosse Club Black Team... 2007 Second Team All-Galaxy... 2006 Honorable Mention All-Galaxy... won state championship in indoor track as a junior... Candace Rossi Attack Farmingdale, NY/Farmingdale
