FAIRFAX, VA - The Johns Hopkins women's track and field team finished eighth at the Patriot Games hosted by George Mason University on Saturday. The Blue Jays were led by Rachel Hogen, who finished sixth in the mile.

The meet consisted of teams from Division I and III with Navy capturing first with 142.70 points. Richmond and George Mason finished tied for second with 87 points apiece.

Hogen crossed the line in 5:20.36 to claim sixth place in the mile. Christina Valerio finished 15th in the mile with a time of 5:37.00. Martina Dodd was 13th in the 1,000-meters with a time 3:22.39 while Megan Brower finished 15th in the same event with a time of 3:31.27.

Jacci Clauss led the Blue Jays in the 3,000-meters with a time of 11:12.54 for 12th place. Cate White and Bhavna Abbi took 14th and 15th respectively with times of 11:18.43 and 11:34.44.

The women's distance medley relay team grapped first place with a time of 13:14.99.

Hopkins will be back in action on February 2 at the University of Delaware Invitational and the Frank Colden Invitational hosted by Ursinus College.
