COLLEGEVILLE, PA - The Johns Hopkins women's track and field team captured the Ursinus Frank Colden Invitational on Saturday. The Blue Jays finished with 115 points on the day as two of the relay teams qualified for ECACs and several athletes ran their personal or season best times on the day.

Gettysburg finished with 95 points while Frostburg State was third with 92 points. Dickinson finished fourth with 61 points while Cabrini rounded out the top five with 54 points.

The 4x200 relay team of Jessica Reeves, Anita Mikkilineni, Paula Osborn and Jordan Ireton crossed the line in 1:52.21 to finish second and qualify for the ECAC Tournament in the process. Also qualifying for ECACs was the 4x800 team of Ireton, Kit Harris, Elizabeth Laseter and Martina Dodd. They crossed the line in 10:07.88 to finish second in the process.

Becky Lossing had a strong day in the field events to lead the Blue Jays. She and Reeves tied for second in the high jump with leaps of 4'11.75". Lossing was fourth in the long jump with a leap of 15'10.5", a personal best. She was also fourth in the triple jump with a season best 9.54m.

In addition to her performance in the high jump, Reeves won the pole vault with a mark of 9'6. She tied her season best mark in that event. Krystina Laucik finished fifth in the shot put with a final toss of 33-01.25m.
 

 

Osborn and Reeves finished fifth and sixth in the 55m dash with times of 7.70 and 7.71 respectively. Mikkilineni ran her season best in the 55m hurdles with a time of 9.22. Ireton continued her strong performance in the meet by capturing the 400 meters with a time of 1:01.32. Rachel Hogen ran a 5:20.37 to win the one-mile.

Hopkins will return to the track on February 8 at the BU Valentine Invitational.
