COLLEGE PARK, MD - The Johns Hopkins women's track and field team competed at the University of Maryland Terrapin Invitational on Saturday. Christina Valerio was one of several Blue Jays to post a strong time on the day.

Valerio placed 16th in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 19:43.48. Paula Osborn had a strong showing in the 100 and 200-meter dashes on Saturday. Osborn ran a 12.86 in the 100-meter dash and a 26.34 in the 200-meter dash to place 16th.

Jordan Ireton recorded an 11th place finish in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:21.86. Anita Mikkilineni ran a 16.55 in the 100-meter hurdles to take 15th place. Mikkilineni also took 12th in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:09.75.

The 4x100 relay team of Jessica Reeves, Ireton, Osborn and Mikkilineni posted a time of 51.62 to place seventh. In the field events, Becky Lossing tied for third in the high jump with a leap of 1.52m. Chantel Priolo took seventh in the javelin throw with a toss of 32.85m.

Hopkins will return to action on Saturday, April 5 at the Muhlenberg Invitational.
