CHESTER, PA - The Johns Hopkins women's track and field team competed at the Widener Invitational in Chester, PA over the weekend. The Blue Jays received a number of strong performances including senior Jessica Reeves' third place finish in the high jump.

Reeves recorded a 1.52m in the high jump to take third place while Becky Lossing claimed a fifth place finish in the long jump at 4.77m. Lossing also finished tied for seventh in the long jump with a 1.47m. Krystina Laucik placed ninth in the shot put with a throw of 10.37m. Chantel Priolo was 10th in the discus with a throw of 29.71m.

Paula Osborn posted a time of 12.72 and finished fourth in the 100-meter dash while Jordan Ireton was one of two Blue Jays to finish in the top ten in the 800-meter run. Ireton posted a time of 2:18.47 and finished fourth while Kit Harris was seventh with a time of 2:21.45.

The Blue Jays placed three in the top ten in the 1,500-meters led by Laura Paulsen's fourth place finish. Paulsen ran a 4:48.58 while Mira Patel finished ninth in 4:56.83. Rachel Hogen rounded out the group in that event by running a 4:58.38 to take 10th place. Emma Hiza captured a sixth place finish in the 5,000-meters with a time of 18:48.46.
 

 

The 4x100 relay team ran a 50.48 and finished third while 4x400 relay team ran a 4:08.34 to claim second place.

Hopkins returns to action on Saturday, April 26 at the Paul Kaiser Classic hosted by Shippensburg.
