Micah Sales will get the start against Georgia Tech this Tuesday
 
 
Owls Host Tech Tuesday

KENNESAW, Ga.--Kennesaw State's baseball team will look to return to the win column this Tuesday when No. 17 Georgia Tech visits Stillwell Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. in a game that will air on ASun.TV.

KSU has lost five of its last six games, including a 5-3 loss at Georgia Tech on March 5. The Owls have been outscored, 49-35, during that stretch and have hit just .253 as a team.

The Black and Gold lost two out of three games against Florida Gulf Coast over the weekend but defeated the Eagles in game one of a doubleheader on Saturday, 13-8. Leading by five, Michael Bohana entered in relief with the bases loaded and no one out in th eighth inning and proceeded to strike out the side to end the threat. Bohana earned his first save by retiring the side in order in the ninth.

Georgia Tech is coming off a sweep at the hands of Florida State in Tallahassee. The Yellow Jackets were 13-1 on the season entering the Atlantic Coast Conference series, but gave up 36 runs in three games against the Seminoles.

Ric Bishop hit a home run in each of the games of Saturday's doubleheader. Bishop is leading the Owls in each of the triple crown categories; batting average (.356), home runs (three) and runs batted in (14).

Jacob Robbins is leading the Owls in runs scored with 16. Robbins has 22 hits to lead KSU, while his .429 on base percentage is second-best on the squad.

Micah Sales will be starting on the mound for the Owls against Georgia Tech. Sales is 0-2 on the season with an earned run average of 4.50 in six innings of work.

The Yellow Jackets will counter with Deck McGuire. The freshman is 2-0 with five appearances on the season. His ERA is 2.50, third-best on the Georgia Tech staff.
