Owls Set for Final Homestand
Feb. 8, 2008
KENNESAW, Ga. - It's back home for the Owls as Kennesaw State returns to the friendly confines of the KSU Convocation Center for their final homestand of the season as they battle Gardner-Webb on Saturday evening. The Kennesaw State faithful have three games to see seniors Shuan Stegall and Ronell Wooten for the final time as the senior duo wrap up their collegiate careers in front of the home town crowd. The duo will begin their farewell tour against a Bulldogs team that has alternated losses and wins for the last 12 games. Gardner-Webb is fresh off a 13-point win over Mercer and is looking for back-to-back wins for the first time since wins over Kentucky and North Greenville in November. The Owls are back home after a winless three-game road trip. In their last contest, the Owls fell to Campbell by a 75-55 score. Jon-Michael Nickerson led the Owls with 17 points, a season-high for the sophomore and just two points off of his career-high. KSU has won four straight games at the Convocation Center. The last time the Owls played at home, they came away with a, 79-77, win over Savannah State. Tip-off at the KSU Convocation Center is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. The game can be seen on the web on ASun.TV or can be heard on SuperTalk 1230/1340 AM. |
