Volleyball Starts Spring Practice
March 12, 2008
KENNESAW, Ga.--The Kennesaw State volleyball team is already getting set for the 2008 season. The team began spring practices on Monday afternoon at the KSU Convocation Center. "It was good to get back out on the court," said KSU head coach Valerie Jones. "Everyone was excited and ready to start practicing for the upcoming season." The Owls will primarily work on passing, serving and blocking drills during the spring season. Due to injuries to Ginny Frederick and Tara Dillon, the Owls do not currently have a healthy setter on the roster. "Not having a healthy setter does put us in a bit of a bind," said Coach Jones. "But we have always been a fighting team and I am certain we will fight through this to be ready for the spring season." The Owls started practice with Asjia Stokes, Rachel Odom, Eman Burns, Selina O'Leary and Sabrita Gulley in uniform. |
