FRISCO, Texas - The Southland Conference office has released the tip-times for the 2008 SLC Men's and Women's Basketball Tournaments.

Since Lamar and Stephen F. Austin are the only possible No. 1 and 2 seeds on the men's side, those two will play at either Noon or 6 p.m. Thursday in the first round. The No. 1 seed plays at 6 p.m. and the No. 2 seed will open the event at Noon CT.

The Lamar women are currently in line for the No. 4 seed and can secure that spot with a win on Thursday at Nicholls State. That would have them playing on Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. against the No. 5 seed. There are scenarios that would have the Lady Cardinals anywhere from Nos. 5-7, meaning they may play at Noon or 2:30 p.m. as well.

The official SLC Tournament brackets will be released on Sunday following the conclusion of regular-season games on Saturday.

Tournament games played on Wednesday through Friday will be shown on SouthlandTV, the league video streaming channel available through www.southland.org. A package of all 12 streaming broadcasts will cost $12.95, and a single game purchase will be $5.95. Saturday's women's championship game will be televised live at 3 p.m. on FSN Southwest, and Sunday's men's final will be broadcast live nationally on ESPN 2 at Noon.
