PHILADELPHIA, PA- La Salle University's Men's Soccer Team visits Head Coach Pat Farrell's old elementary to hold a soccer clinic. The students of St. Hugh's Elementary had a chance to experience what it takes to be a Division 1 soccer player, taking part in different drills and games that helped sharpen their skills. This activity was a big change from their normal gym class. St. Hugh's has been without a physical education instructor the past year forcing the teachers to take on the extra responsibility of running a gym class themselves. Coach Farrell has been holding this clinic at St. Hugh for a number of years now and plans on inviting them to a home game next season. "I think it would be great to show the students a different aspect of college. Most students, when they think of college, think of just a silent and boring classroom, but getting them on campus would be a good way to show them that going to college is more than just going to class" -St. Hugh's 6th grade teacher Ms. Smith.
