Quigley Anchors La Salle DMR to Fifth Place Overall at Penn Relays

The men's 4x400 took 4th, while the men's 4x100 took 5th in their heat

    • PHILADELPHIA, PA- Anchored by senior Sean Quigley, La Salle's men's distance medley relay (DMR) team raced to a fifth-place overall finish in the Championship heat (9:37.15) on Friday afternoon at the Penn Relays. The Explorers were bested by winner Texas, Stanford, Villanova and Georgetown.

    Quigley was joined by Korey Edwards, James Tchabo and William Rhea in the DMR. It was Texas' third consecutive win in the event.

    In the men's 4x400 State of Pennsylvania race, La Salle took fourth overall in 3:18.09, the team included Jared Davis, Orestes Medina, Steve Rendall and Andrew Maxwell. Bucknell took the title in 3:15.17.

    The men's 4x100 took fifth in their heat and 69th overall in 43.72.

    In the final day of competition at the Relays, the Explorers will compete in the 4x800 Championships at 2:35 PM and 4:50 PM.

    Next weekend La Salle heads to the A-10 Championships, held at the University of Massachusetts.
