Six of those players were from New Jersey or Pennsylvania, while two hailed from Virginia. A 2006 graduate of PSU with a bachelor's degree in communications, Cahill earned second team NFHCA All-America honors in 2005 as a senior defender. She started all 21 games, leading the Nittany Lions to a 17-4 record and an NCAA Tournament appearance. A Virginia Beach, VA native, Cahill also captured second team All-Big Ten and all-Mid East region honors during her senior season. She was also a two-time Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week and Big Ten All-Academic team member. After graduating, she spent one year as an intern with the Penn State Sports Marketing department before working as an investment analyst for OMD Worldwide. Cahill remained active in field hockey, coaching the U16 and U19 teams for the Model Field Hockey Club and the USA Field Hockey Futures Program.
