A mid-semester transfer from Glenville State in 2007-08, Chaperon batted .301 with six doubles and 10 RBIs during her rookie collegiate season. She started 47 of 53 games, and totaled 45 putouts and 52 assists for a .891 fielding average. As a senior at Howell High School in 2006, Chaperon batted .343, and earned all-region and All-Kensington Valley Conference honors. She was named Livingston County Player of the Year.
