Complete Results

AMES, Iowa - The Lewis University track and field teams produced three NCAA Division II provisional qualifying marks alogn with several other solid performances at the Iowa State University Open, held Friday and Saturday at the Lied Recreational Center.

The women had two national qualifiers during the meet. Sophomore Ashley Butler qualified in the long jump, taking second place overall with a leap of 18-3. Senior Terran Wertz claimed a provisional in the 800 with a time of 2:17.57.

Lewis third national qualifier was sophomore Scott Barnas in the shot put. His throw measured 52-4, good for third place in the event. He also was eighth in the weight throw with a toss of 49-11.

Overall the Flyers had a successful meet, turning in 14 top-10 finishes. Lewis' complete results are listed below. Lewis returns to action on Friday at the Indiana Relays.
