EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - Strong performances by both the men's and women's Lewis University track and field teams led to team finishes of second for the men and third for the women at the Great Lakes Valley Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships, held at SIU Edwardsville on Friday and Saturday. The men scored 123.66 points to finish in second, while the women took third with 96 points. SIU Edwardsville won both the men's and women's title. On the women's side for Lewis, senior Terran Wertz earned a NCAA Division II provisional mark in the 1500-meter run. She placed second in the race with a time of 4:41.85. For the men, senior Dan Probst notched a provisional mark in the discus throw (51.20), and senior Adrian Myers took first in the 1500 (4:02.95). More to follow... |
