BENSENVILLE, Ill. - Junior Chris Brigham threw the Flyers' third consecutive complete game in Lewis' 6-1 victory over Robert Morris on Tuesday afternoon. Brigham allowed eight hits and walked three, but stuck out eight and allowed only one run. Yesterday seniors Tim Harmatys and Jon Guzzo each threw a complete game against Kentucky Wesleyan. The Flyers scored two in the top of the second after Robert Morris scored their lone run in the first. Junior Joe Carbone singled to score junior Chris McCall. As Carbone stole second base, freshman Richard Forkin stole home for the second run. Carbone then stole third but couldn't get home. In the fifth senior Mike Smith singled to knock in senior Billy Duffy who doubled. The Flyers scored two in the sixth on a single by freshman Mike Vucsko that plated Carbone and junior Ryan Reynolds. Vucsko scored the Flyers' final run in the eight on an RBI double by senior Bryan Druktenis. The Flyers improve to 13-17. Lewis will play at Saint Xavier on Tuesday in another non-conference game. |
