EVANSVILLE, Ind. - Junior Tim Bingham hit a grand slam in game one, but the Flyers fell 6-4 and 5-2 to No. 25 Southern Indiana in a conference doubleheader on Sunday afternoon.

Bingham's fourth inning slam scored freshman Mike Vucsko, junior Chris McCall and senior Bryan Druktenis to give the Flyers a 4-1 lead. But the Screaming Eagles rallied to score two in the fifth and three in the sixth to take the game.

Senior Tim Harmatys allowed only two earned runs and seven hits in 5.0 innings of work. Freshman Charles Gille (2-5) relieved Harmatys in the sixth.

In game two, Vucsko singled to leadoff the game. He scored on a throwing error to give the Flyers an early 1-0 lead. Southern Indiana put two on the board in the bottom half of the inning. Lewis tied it up in the top of the sixth when senior Billy Duffy singled, stole second and then scored on a throwing error. Southern Indiana scored a pair of two out runs in the bottom of the inning and added one in the seventh to take the game.

Senior Jon Guzzo (4-1) allowed four earned runs over eight innings. The Flyers are now 14-21 (8-14) and Southern Indiana is 30-13 (19-4). Lewis plays at Wisconsin-Parkside on Tuesday.
