ROMEOVILLE, Ill. - Lewis University's men's basketball team has earned the seventh seed in the Great Lakes Regional and will play No. 2 seed Findlay on Saturday at 11 a.m CT. The games will be hosted by top seed Grand Valley State University on March 15-18 in Allendale, Mich. The Findlay Oilers (26-4) are ranked sixth in the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) poll and posted victories over Great Lakes Valley Conference teams Northern Kentucky and Wisconsin-Parkside during the season. They also defeated Ohio State 70-68 in an exhibition contest before the start of the 2007-08 regular season. The Flyers (20-10) lost a narrow 89-87 overtime decision in the GLVC Championship Game on Sunday to Drury. The winner of the Great Lakes Regional will advance to compete in the 2008 Elite Eight in Springfield, Mass. from March 26-29. The entire bracket can be seen here.
