ROMEOVILLE, Ill. - Lewis University senior Mallory Paine (Carol Stream, Ill.) is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Softball Player of the Week, as announced by the league office. In Lewis' 2-1, 11-inning victory in the first game on Sunday, Paine provided the dramatics by hitting a one-out game-winning home run in the top of the eleventh inning. She finished the game 2-for-5 with a double, home run, run scored and RBI. Paine also threw out two SIUE baserunners in the win. She returned in Lewis' 4-2 win in the day's second game to go 3-for-4 with a run and RBI. In the two games, she was 5-for-9 (.556) with two RBIs, two runs scored, a double and home run.
