Final Stats

Nashville, Tenn. - The Lipscomb softball team dropped game one of this afternoon's doubleheader with Middle Tennessee State University by a score of 3-2.

The Lady Bisons got on the board in bottom of the second when senior Heather Collins smacked an RBI double to left field to score Kellie Sirus, but the Blue Raiders would answer in the bottom of the inning with a two run shot to left field by Martha Davis

Left fielder Mackenzie Tucker, who would finish the game with two hits, tied the game in the third inning when she reached on a double to left field and would score on a throwing error by the Blue Raider pitcher.

The score would remain tied for four innings until Martha Davis crossed the plate for a second time on an RBI single by Caitlin McLure with two outs left in the seventh inning to end the game..

The Lady Bisons drop to 4-8 on the season.
