Farmington, Mich. - Freshman Alex Redfearn posted the low round of the day to help Loyola secure a second-place standing after 36 holes at the Golden Fox Invitational in Farmington, Mich. Redfearn opened the tournament with a 70, while the Greyhounds shot rounds of 297 and 300 to put them in solid position with 18 holes left to play.

Overall, it was junior Michael Mulieri who led the Greyhound charge with rounds of 72 and 73. Mulieri, who has a 36-hole 145, is also second among all individuals in the field. Both Matt Bassler (77-75) and Chris Derby (78-74) stand at 152, while Redfearn is at 153 after two rounds.

Host Detroit Mercy leads the field with a two-round score of 582. The Greyhounds are five strokes ahead of third-place Dayton, while Cleveland State and Youngstown State round of the Top 5.

The final 18 holes at the Arthur Hills-designed Golden Fox Club will be played on Saturday morning. The Greyhounds tee off at 9 a.m.
