The University of Louisville men's swimming and diving team continue to put points on the scoreboard with its relay teams. Tonight the 400-free relay team will swim in the finals after qualifying 14th with a time of 2:55.89 in the 2008 NCAA Championship in Federal Way, Washington.

"The five relay teams scoring speaks volumes about our team effort," said U of L head coach Arthur Albiero. "I am proud to be part of it and tonight will put an exclamation point on the finish of our season."

The Cardinals are tied with Alabama and LSU in 23rd place and are the highest scoring team in the BIG EAST Conference.

Andrei Radzionau led off the 400-free relay with a split of 43.70 setting up Carlos Van Isschot, who went a blistering 43.53. Chris Lindauer was next, going 44.21 and Adam Madarassy anchored with a time of 44.45.

In the individual events, Andrei Radzionau finished tied for 16th in the 200-freestyle. In order to complete the swim-off the coaches decided to use the leadoff leg of the 400-free relay as the tiebreaker since both swimmers were their respective team's leadoff swimmer. Radzionau's school record swim of 43.26 fell just short of scoring for the Cardinals.

Adam Madarassy finished in 1:45.41 for 19th in the 200-fly. Rafal Kuchta finished 31st in the same event at 1:48.05.

"It was a good swim for Adam but it took 1:$5.20 to qualify because it is just a very fast meet," said Albiero.
