INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The University of Louisville earned four regional qualifying marks and won three event titles on Saturday at the Stan Lyons Invitational hosted by Butler University.

Leading the way for the Louisville men was the duo of Josh Greenwald and Andrew Hackney who swept the top two spots in the discus with NCAA Mideast Regional qualifying throws. Greenwald, a freshman from Indianapolis, won the discus with a throw of 181 feet, 6 inches, while Hackney, from Lawrenceville, Ga., was second with a throw of 178-05.

Leading the way for the U of L women was the trio of Chinwe Okoro, ZeNai Savage and Holly Geibel. Okoro, a freshman from Russell, Ky., won the discus with a personal best and regional qualifying throw of 164-07. Savage, a senior captain and a native of Indianapolis, was the top collegiate thrower and second overall in the hammer with a regional qualifying throw of 191-09. With the mark, Savage secures bids in two events (shot put, hammer) for the NCAA Mideast Regional on May 30-31 in Fayetteville, Ark.

Another event victory was recorded on Saturday by senior Holly Geibel in the javelin. A native of Butler, Pa., Geibel won the event with a throw of 130-09 to defeat a field of 17 other throwers.

Up next, the Cards will travel to Philadelphia, Pa., for the 2008 BIG EAST Outdoor Championships on May 2-4 at Villanova Stadium.
