Post-Game Quotes
Loyola vs. Valparaiso
February 20, 2008

Loyola Head Coach Jim Whitesell
On Justin Cerasoli's work off the bench
"I thought Justin Cerasoli really helped us in the first half. He went out there and created some baskets that really got us going. It's great when you have a player go out there and single-handedly create baskets."

On taking the ball inside
"We fall in love with the three too often. We really need the ball in the lane before we take the shot. We shoot really well when we get it in the lane first."

On matching up with Valpo's big men
"We needed size. They've got such great size with guys like [Urule] Igbavboa and Bryan Bouchie. Putting [Darrin Williams] in there helps the size factor. Tom Levin got some good playing time tonight too. He's a guy that's been hurt all year and we didn't even play him last week because of it, but tonight he played and he played well."

Loyola junior forward Darrin Williams
On his huge game
"I just try to go out there and give 100 percent every game. Coach Whitesell just always says you have to play hard all the time to be successful and obviously that paid off tonight. I was just trying to go hard and get a win. This is a losing season and there have been some games that we should have won and we didn't, so this is huge for us."

Loyola junior guard J.R. Blount
On Williams' effort
"We always look for [Darrin Williams] down low. Tonight, we got it to him and he was making plays. He was making J-hooks and posting up and also getting offensive rebounds. We talked about it at halftime, too, just saying look for him down low."
