Loyola Men's Basketball Summer Camp Dates Set for 2008

May 13, 2008

CHICAGO - Loyola University Chicago head men's basketball coach Jim Whitesell has announced that his staff will hold two separate summer camps in June at the Gentile Center on the Lake Shore Campus. The two sessions of the 2008 Jim Whitesell Loyola Boys Basketball Camp will take place June 16-19 and June 23-26.

Both camps are for boys entering grades K-8. Participants will receive instruction from top collegiate coaches and players, while competing in daily contests, 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 play. Each camper will receive a certificate of participation, camp t-shirt, and a chance for autographs and photos. Cost is $200 per camper, $160 for children of Loyola employees.

Campers in grades K-3 can opt to attend camp for a half-day session (9 a.m. - noon). Cost for that camp is $100.

For more information or to reserve your spot in one of the sessions, please contact Steve Groothuis in the Loyola men's basketball office at (773) 508-8818 or sgroothuis@luc.edu.
