Jan. 24, 2008 CHICAGO - Loyola University Chicago was well-represented as 64 of its student-athletes were among 624 honored when the Horizon League announced its 2007 Fall Academic Honor Roll today. Candidates must meet three criteria to qualify: must participate in a League-sponsored sport during the most recent (or current) season, must have completed three semesters as a full-time student at the same member institution and have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.2 (on a 4.0 scale) as of Dec. 31, 2007. Loyola's 64 honorees ranked in a fourth-place tie with Milwaukee among Horizon League institutions and the Rambler contingent was paced by its women's soccer team - two-time defending Horizon League champions on the field - who had 14 players on the list. Softball and women's cross country/track & field had nine student-athletes get recognized while men's cross country/track & field and men's soccer had eight apiece.
