Dylan Gergen shot a 76 in both rounds at the Carlton Oaks Invitational Monday
 
 
Gergen and Collopy Lead Loyola In First Day At Carlton Oaks Invite

SANTEE, Calif. - Led by the play of freshmen Dylan Gergen and Sean Collopy, Loyola University Chicago posted a team score of 629 today through 36 holes of action at the Carlton Oaks Invitational hosted by Drake University. The Ramblers enter Tuesday's final round in ninth place, but are only 34 strokes behind leader Point Loma Nazarene.

Gergen was consistent today, shooting a 76 in each round to tie for 13th place with a 152 through two rounds of competition. Collopy, who was making his first appearance as a Rambler, shot a 77 in his first round, and followed that up with a 76 in the final 18 holes of the day. Rounding out Loyola's lineup, Armando Favela carded a 161 (79-82), Kevin Emmerich posted a 163 (84-79) and Thomas Greene recorded a 170 (85-85).

Loyola wraps up play at the tournament with a final 18 holes of play beginning Tuesday morning.
