Solid Team Effort Helps Ramblers Finish 11th At Beu/Mussatto Invite

MACOMB, Ill. - A balanced team effort helped Loyola University Chicago's men's golf team capture 11th place at the 17-team Beu/Mussatto Invitational hosted by Western Illinois University over the weekend. The Ramblers, whose scores ranged over an 11-stroke span, carded a team mark of 959, while Western Illinois captured the title with an 885 in the 54-hole event. Junior Armando Favela, who placed 45th, led the Ramblers with a three-round score of 238 (87-74-77) and his second-round, two-over 74 was the team's best score of the tournament. Fellow left-handed junior Sean Bidzinski posted a 240 (78-79-83) to tie for 48th. Dylan Gergen recorded a 245 (83-81-81) to tie for 58th, while Aaron Harter tied for 60th with a 246 (88-80-78) and Sean Collopy tied for 67th with a 249 (78-85-86). Loyola kicks off a busy stretch of two tournaments in four days when it competes in the Fighting Illini Spring Invite, April 12-13 and hosts the Wiscon Corporation Invitational, April 14-15 at Pine Meadow Golf Course in Mundelein, Ill.
