HONOLULU, Hawai'i - The No. 12 Loyola University Chicago men's volleyball dropped a 3-0 (18-30, 25-30, 24-30) decision at Hawai'i on Wednesday night. The loss is the Ramblers' first in five matches. Loyola falls to 10-7 on the season, while UH improves to 7-9 on the year.

Hawai'i jumped ahead early in game one, as the Warriors took a commanding 10-3 on a Rambler attack error. The Ramblers battled back, but were unable capitalize as the Warriors claimed a nine point lead (20-11) on Jim Clar's service ace. Hawai'i would eventually cruise to a 30-18 victory.

Game two was close early on as the two teams were tied eight times and exchanged leads four times. With the score tied at 11 apiece, Clar knocked down a kill that would spark a 5-0 Warrior run. Up 16-11, UH never looked back as they locked up the second game by a score of 30-25.

The Ramblers held the lead in the early stages of the third game, but were unable to hold on as the relentless Warriors fought back to take a 12-11 lead on a kill by Clar. Hawai'i would not surrender its lead as it held on to claim a 30-24 win over the Ramblers.

Ian Anderson knocked down 16 kills to lead the Ramblers and Mike Hutz registered 24 assists, while Matt Baleiko tied his season-high with 12 digs on the night.

Clar recorded a match-high 17 kills and Jacob Schkud contributed 12 kills and 11 digs for the Warriors.
