CHICAGO - Nine members of the Loyola University Chicago men's volleyball team earned Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association Academic All-Conference honors it was announced by the league office today.

For the third straight year, juniors Matt Baleiko, Joe Guntli and Nick Lamoureux along with redshirt sophomores Derek Jensen and David Swigart were named to the academic all-conference team. The quintet was joined by two-time honorees Kris Berzins, Mike Hutz and Daniel Leis. Sophomore Mario Jez earned all-conference accolades for the first time in his career.

To be eligible for academic all-conference recognition, student-athletes must have achieved at least a 3.0 grade point average on a 4.0 scale after the completion of the fall semester.
