Loyola Finishes 14th At Illini Spring Classic

Urbana, Ill. - The Loyola women's golf team posted two rounds of 336 to finish 14th at the Illini Spring Classic at Stone Creek Golf Club (Par 72, 6,244 yards) in Urbana, Ill. Host Illinois won the 54-hole event with a team score of 924.

Kaitlin Kearney, who posted a team-low 86 in round one yesterday, followed that up with rounds of 83 and 81 to finish with a total score of 250, narrowly edging sophomore Lucy McGovern (88-86-80--254) as the team's low scorer.

Lauren Oh and Michelle Puch rebounded nicely on day two. Oh followed an opening 94 with rounds of 85 and 86 (94-85-86--265) while Puch shook off yesterday's 98 to card rounds of 84 and 88 to finish with a score of 270 (98-84-88). Jaclyn Zembrodt rounded out the LU squad with a 54-hole score of 279 (94-98-87).

Bambee Dela Paz of Cincinnati fired a final-round 73 to claim medalist honors with a three-round score of 228.
