Loyola Women's Golf Sits 15th After Opening Round Of Illini Spring Classic

The Loyola women's golf team is in 15th place after the opening round of the Illini Spring Classic at the Stone Creek Golf Club (Par 72, 6,244 yards) in Urbana, Ill. The Ramblers' team score of 362 is within eight strokes of Bowling Green (354) and Western Illinois (358) and 43 behind tournament leader Illinois.

Kaitlin Kearney set the pace for Loyola today, carding an 86 (42-44) to finish in a tie for 48th place. Lucy McGovern (88), Lauren Oh (94), Jaclyn Zembrodt (94) and Michelle Puch (98) rounded out the Rambler quintet.

The teams played just 18 holes today and play will conclude tomorrow with 36 holes, starting at 8 a.m.
