Caputo Invitational Women's Results Thru Round One

MUNDELEIN, Ill. - Sophomore Lucy McGovern fired an opening-round 77 to help Loyola University Chicago to a team score of 326, just one stroke behind leader Youngstown State, at the Caputo Invitational at Pine Meadow Golf Course today. In a tightly bunched field, a mere 14 strokes separates the fourth-place team from leader Youngstown State after 18 holes of play.

McGovern's opening-round 77 was the second-lowest mark of the day, topped only by Kathryn Rogner's (Youngstown State) four-over-par 76. Freshman Lauren Oh fired an 81, while Michelle Puch notched an 83 and Megan Sujack carded an 85 to round out Loyola's scoring. Kaitlin Kearney posted an 89 and Jaclyn Zembrodt shot a 92 to complete Loyola's list of entries.

The final round of play is scheduled to begin tomorrow at 9:30 a.m.
