Ramblers Wrap Up First Two Rounds At Horizon League Championship

CARMEL, Ind. - After 36 holes of play, Loyola University Chicago's women's golf team finds itself in fifth place, just five strokes shy of fourth, at the Horizon League Championship at Plum Creek Golf Club. The Ramblers notched a team score of 686 (353-333), which is five strokes behind Cleveland State. Butler owns a six-stroke edge (642-648) over Youngstown State. Kaitlin Kearney and Lucy McGovern each fared well in round two on the challenging 6,113-yard, par-72 course as both carded scores of 168 today. Kearney (89-79) notched a 79, the lowest score by a Rambler on the day, in round two, while McGovern (87-81) posted an 81 in today's second 18 holes of play. Lauren Oh was consistent, posting a 172 (86-86) and sits tied for 17th, while Michelle Puch is tied for 23rd with a 180 (93-87) and Megan Sujack rests in 25th place with a 183 (91-92). Butler's Lauren Showers (156) owns a two-stroke lead over Rachel McHenry (168) of Detroit and Katie Rogner (168) of Youngstown State for the individual lead.
