The Loyola University Chicago utility player batted .417 (5 for 12) with a double, two home runs, four RBI and four stolen bases in five games at the Sportco Spring Kick-off Classic hosted by UNLV last weekend.

Krause hit safely in four of the Ramblers' five contests last weekend to help the team to a 2-3 record, including victories over UNLV and Texas Tech. After going 1 for 3 in the season opener against then-No. 11 Washington, the slugger went 2 for 4 with four runs, two homers and three RBI in a wild, 12-11 victory over UNLV on Feb. 8. Her two roundtrippers added to her Loyola school record total, giving her 28. Krause went 1 for 2 with a RBI and a pair of walks in an 8-6 loss to No. 2 Arizona State on Feb. 10.

Last season, Krause was a Second Team All-Mideast Region pick and earned First Team All-Horizon League honors. Off the field, she was recognized for her work in the classroom, garnering ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District V accolades.
