2.8.08 - OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - The Mid-America Christian University Junior Varsity Evangels won both of their games against the Bacone College Warriors on Thursday, Feb 7. The JV Evangels won the first game 3-2 and the second game 6-2. Nick Blizzard threw a no-hitter through five innings then gave up his first hit in the sixth inning. Justin Holeman came in relief in the sixth inning and got a double play on his first pitch. Holeman pitched a scoreless seventh inning to close the game. The JV Evangels had three runs on five hits. Freshman Brandy Vann went 3-for-3 in the first game. Vann pitched the first four innings giving up two runs. Cody Price mowed the Warriors down in the fifth and sixth inning. Thomas Finn closed out the game with two strikeouts and a fly ball to Chris Caldwell. The JV Evangel pitchers had a combined 20 Strike Outs on the day. The JV Evangels are 2-0 on the season. MACU JV will be back in action Thursday, Feb 14 at home against the Oklahoma Baptist University JV Bison.
