6.9.08 - OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - Mid-America Christian University in Oklahoma City recently signed Claremore High School graduate Jaren Riley to play men's basketball for the 2008-2009 season.

Riley, 18, was a guard for the Claremore High School Zebras, and will play the same position for the MACU Evangels.

"We are excited about Jaren," MACU Assistant Men's Basketball Coach Charles Goar said. "He is a combo guard who will bring some scoring and athleticism to the guard position."

Riley was the Mazzio's Athlete of the Month and Metro Lakes First Team All Conference. He was also named to the Mannford All-Tournament Team.

MACU is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics and the Sooner Athletic Conference.
