Wyandotte High School Senior Kurtis Young Signs to Play MACU Basketball

7.7.09 - OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - Wyandotte High School graduate Kurtis Young signed to play basketball at Mid-America Christian University in the 2008-2009 season.

Young, 18, from Wyandotte, is the son of Kenny and Lynette Young. As a point guard for the Wyandotte Bears, Young was named to the All-Conference team and was a Lake O' Cherokee All-Star. Young also excelled in the class room. He was a National Honor Society member, the senior Class President, and the Valedictorian.

"I am excited about having a player of Kurtis's talent and ability joining our basketball program," Head Men's Basketball Coach Willie Holley said.

MACU is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics and the Sooner Athletic Conference.
