Suzanne Fischer, an athletics marketing intern with the University of Maine, has been named the Maine University System student-employee of the year. Fischer, a marketing major, was selected as the University of Maine student-employee of the year from a group of 22 outstanding finalists. As the university winner she was entered into the state university system contest, where she was selected as the state student-employee of the year. She will now move on to the regional competition. Suzanne has been very involved in athletics marketing during the 2007-08 school year, and has assisted the marketing staff in numerous capacities. Some of her responsibilities include helping with the Bananas Cub Club, facilitating in-game promotions and contests, and assisting with the Class of 1944 Super Fans contest. Suzanne was nominated by her supervisor in athletics marketing, Justin Swanson.
