Maine vs. Albany Men's Basketball Game Notes

The men's basketball team hosts Albany on Thursday night at 7 p.m. The game is Jay Uhrin and Jordan Cook "Hometown Hero Day." The two former Hampden Academy standouts will have many people from their town in attendance. The Black Bears will be looking to pickup another America East win after defeating New Hampshire in overtime last Saturday. Maine is led by reigning America East Player of the Week Mark Socoby who averaged 24.5 points and eight rebounds in two games last week. Maine will also look to get big performances from junior guard Kaimondre Owes, who had 20 points, four rebounds and four assists last week as well freshman forward Sean McNally who is having a fantastic rookie year. The Black Bears' next home game is Saturday, Feb. 23 against Stony Brook at 12 p.m. The game will be "Take a Kid to a Game" day, and will feature buy one, get one free tickets. The game will also be Portland, Maine native Sean Costigan's "Hometown Hero Day."
