Stanford Invitational Day One Results (html) MILWAUKEE - While most of the Marquette University men's and women's track and field team was headed to Purdue for Saturday's Mike Poehlein Invitational, Golden Eagles sophomore Jayne Grebinski hit an NCAA regional qualifying standard Friday with a time of 16:45.96 in the women's 5,000 meters at the opening day of the Stanford Invitational. "It's great that we were able to get another qualifier for us," head coach Bert Rogers. "So another great performance. We have the rest of the team competing at Purdue and looking forward to seeing how everybody else does." Select distance runners, along with Grebinski, were slated to compete at Standard Friday and Saturday, while the Poehlein Invitational in West Lafayette, Ind. is a one-day event. Eric Meissner ran the men's 800 meters in 1:52.11 and Brice Cleland ran the men's 10,000 meters in 31:10.98, as the only other MU runners to compete at Cobb Track on Friday.
