MU Hosts Louisville Monday Night At 6 p.m. In League Action

The No. 17/16 Marquette University men's basketball team returns home for a "Big Monday" matchup with rival Louisville at the Bradley Center. The 6 p.m. CT tip will mark Marquette's seventh national television broadcast of the campaign, which will be featured on ESPN. Sean McDonough (play-by-play), Jay Bilas (analyst) and Bill Raftery (analyst) will call the action. The Golden Eagles and Cardinals are meeting for the second time this season. UofL posted a 71-51 victory on Jan. 17 in Freedom Hall and now leads the all-time series 36-24. Marquette's next three matchups (UofL, Notre Dame, Seton Hall) will all come against its BIG EAST home-and-home opponents in 2007-08.
Offense Heats Up In Time For Win At Cincinnati After netting just 28 points on 35.7 percent shooting in the first half, MU scored 47 points in the final 20 minutes while connecting on 57.1 percent of its shot attempts. Marquette began the game 4-of-17 from the field, finishing the contest 22-of-39 (56.4 percent) from the floor as a team.
MU Hoping To Start New Campaign, "You Oose, You Lose" The Dakar, Senegal, native put together one of the better efforts of his career against the Bearcats, finishing with 19 points and 10 rebounds for his first double-double of the season and seventh overall.
Barro was 9-of-10 from the field and four of his rebounds came at the offensive end. In Barro's previous seven games, he had only contributed a total of 18 points.
