Marquette Volleyball Set to Host Three Summer Camps

MILWAUKEE - The Marquette women's volleyball team held its annual end-of-the-season banquet Sunday at the Alumni Memorial Union on MU's campus to celebrate the 2007 season. In addition to looking back at the season, graduating seniors, Jenn Brown, Tiffany Helmbrecht, Kimberly Todd, and Katie Weidner were honored.

Along with Todd's career accomplishments, as she finished her tenure at Marquette second on the all-time kills and attacks lists with 1,719 and 4,172, respectively for her career, she was also recognized for her All-BIG EAST First Team honor. Todd is also a finalist for an NCAA Post-Graduate Scholarship.

For the only team award given, Marquette awarded junior defensive specialist Jessica Kieser with the Golden Eagle Award and recognized her honor as a National Strength and Condition Association All-American.

The 2007 season saw the Golden Eagles finish 10-16 overall with a 5-9 record in the BIG EAST. In front of their home fans, Marquette put up a 10-4 record at the Al McGuire Center.

The Golden Eagles will open the 2008 season at "The Al" when they host their annual Marquette Kickoff Tournament August 29-30.
