Frohnapfel Finishes in Season Best at Sean Earl Invitational

CHICAGO, Ill. - Sophomore Eric Frohnapfel (Morgantown, W.Va.) continues to lead the Marshall University men's cross country team with a time of 25:47 at the Sean Earl Invitational in Chicago Saturday.

The time marked a season best for Frohnapfel and his second meet in a row that he has led the men's squad as the top finisher placing 28th overall.

Just second behind Frohnapfel was freshman Matt Shiffbauer (Morgantown, W.Va.) who placed 32nd with a time of 25:50.

Once again on the women's side it was sophomore Kathleen Clark (Twinsburg, Ohio) that earned the top spot for the Thundering Herd placing 71st with a time of 19:37. In all three meets in 2008, Clark has been the top runner for Marshall.

The Herd Cross Country team will be back in action Saturday Oct. 11 at the Furman Invitational in Greenville, S.C.
