LEXINGTON, Ky. - The Thundering Herd baseball team will travel to Lexington, Ky. for a non-conference showdown with No. 16 Kentucky, Wednesday, April 30. First-pitch is slated for 6:30 p.m. ET.

Marshall (23-21-1 overall) is on a three-game winning streak and will look to continue that against Kentucky (33-11 overall). The Herd is just four wins shy of tying the single-season win total of 27 set in 1978 and tied again in 2004.

The contest will feature Herd right-hander Ian Kadish (1-1) against Kentucky's Clint Tilford (2-0).

Kadish has 13 strikeouts in 27.1 innings of work that includes three starts in 18 outings so far this season. Tilford has fanned 22 in 26.2 innings on the hill.

Marshall's Brandon Casmassima enters the contest on a 10-game hitting-streak, while Victor Gomez has hit safely in nine straight games, and Nate Lape in seven consecutive games.

Adam Yeager brings a Conference USA high 30 stolen bases to Wednesday's game, a mark which ranks him tied for sixth in the nation.

Following Wednesday's midweek clash, the Herd returns to C-USA action when it hosts a three-game set with No. 28 Southern Miss., beginning Friday, May 2-4. Friday and Saturday's games are scheduled for 7:00 p.m. ET starts at Appalachian Power Park.

Marshall will honor its five graduating seniors with ceremonies to take place prior to Sunday's first pitch. Senior Day activities will begin at 11:45 a.m. ET with game time slated for 12:00 p.m. ET.

The Herd's five departing seniors are right-handed pitchers Adam Dobies and Andrew Hancock, infielder Matt Helm, catcher Tommy Johnson, and left fielder Jeff Rowley.
