Men's Golf to Tee Off 2008 C-USA Championship on Sunday

TEXARKANA, Ark. - The Marshall University men's golf team will tee off in the 11-team Conference USA Championship at Texarkana Country Club, a par-72, 6,935-yard course, on Sunday morning. The three-day, 54-hole event will send its winner to the NCAA Regionals.

The Thundering Herd, under the direction of 36th year head coach Joe Feaganes, will play in its third C-USA Championship. The Herd and UCF, after a blind draw, will tee off the tournament first with an 8 a.m. start on Sunday.

Defending champion Tulsa, led by 2007 C-USA runner up Nicholas Geyger, will tee off last at 10:30 a.m.

Feaganes' Herd lineup consists of 2007 C-USA Freshman of the Year Christian Brand, seniors Trent Schambach and Jonathan Pepe, junior Nathan Kinker and sophomore Josh Boswell.
