HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Marshall University head women's basketball coach Royce Chadwick announced the signing of Kamille Lisonbee to a National Letter of Intent.

Lisonbee, a 6-foot-6 center from Mountain Crest High School in Providence, Utah, averaged 10.3 points, 9.1 rebounds and 4.3 blocks per game in her senior season and was honored as the Herald Journal Defensive Player of the Year for her efforts.

Coach Chadwick commented on Lisonbee and what her addition means to the Thundering Herd. "We are very excited to add Kamille to our family. She will bring a presence to the paint improving our shot blocking and rebounding defense. Her future is extremely promising in Conference USA."

She also garnered Region V 2nd Team Honors while being named to the Cache Valley 1st Team. In 2007, Lisonbee was awarded with Comeback Player of the Year honors.

Lisonbee's high school coach Amanie Crosbie was excited about her move to Marshall and the opportunities Lisonbee will have. "I am so excited for Kamille to have the opportunity to further her basketball career," Crosbie said.

"I think that she will make a great addition to the great traditions at Marshall University. She is such a fun player to watch because she is so coachable and loves to work hard."
