Day One Results Get Acrobat Reader

PINEHURST, N.C. - The Thundering Herd women's golf team shot a 331 on the first day of the Pinehurst Challenge and is tied with Jacksonville State for 20th following the first day of the tournament.

Rachel Halloran and Molly Ginger led the Herd, each shooting an 81. They were tied for 39th overall. Whitney Wolejko was tied for 65th after shooting an 83 while Larie Lynch tied for 96th overall with an 86.

The teams will have two more days of action. After the first day, East Tennessee State was No. 1 with a score of 307. Tennessee-Chattanooga was second with a 311 while UNC Greensboro and East Carolina tied for third with a score of 313.

Following its action in the Pinehurst Challenge, the Herd will travel to Williamsburg, Va. for the First Market Bank Intercollegiate.
